About Us
Our Story
Highcliffe Hawks Youth Football Club has been established since 1978. Our teams play in the Bournemouth Youth Football League. The club provides local children with the opportunity to play football.
The organisation’s objective is to promote and facilitate youth football in the local Highcliffe and Christchurch communities.
We aim to provide local children with the opportunity to attend regular training, coaching, tournaments and play league football matches. The organisation is run on a voluntary basis.
MARK'S MARATHON for MOSAIC - Supporting Bereaved Children
Back in June last year, our Hawks Thunder family suffered a heartbreaking loss when one of our players, Seb, lost his dad, Mark.
Mark wasn’t just a great friend - he was an incredible person who gave so much to our team, always supporting and encouraging us. Over the past few months, the boys from Highcliffe Hawks Thunder have been thinking of a meaningful way to honour him and support a cause close to his family’s heart. That’s how Mark’s Marathon was born.
On Sunday, 23rd February 2025, we will take on a marathon relay, running together as a team to celebrate Mark’s legacy and raise funds for an incredible cause. Our players, coaches, Mark’s friends, and family will each take turns running, starting from Wingfield’s at 10AM, covering most of the distance along the Highcliffe seafront, and finishing back at Wingfield’s around 4 PM.
We’d love for you to be part of this special day. Whether you join us for a stretch of the run, cheer us on from the sidelines, or simply help spread the word, your support will mean the world to us. If you spot us on the seafront, please give us a wave, a shout, or even a high-five - we’ll need all the encouragement we can get!
This isn’t an official club event, but it’s something we’re doing together as a team, united by a shared goal: raising as much as we can for MOSAIC – Supporting Bereaved Children. This amazing charity provides vital support for children facing loss, just like Seb and his siblings.
